A standoff only the Conch Republic could stage. A brilliantly plumed rooster in teal, copper, and crimson struts along a rainbow picket fence while a bushy-tailed squirrel nibbles a snack at the other end, entirely unbothered. Palm fronds arch overhead, tropical blooms glow in the afternoon light, and a weathered Key West sign hangs in the greenery behind them.
